    How To Use Alcohol Ink, Beginners Guide

    There is a recently develop medium of creating artworks right now which is creating a name for itself, it is called alcohol ink. It is translucent, acid free, that is used to color smooth canvases like paper, glass, metals, and woods.

    This comes in a small container along with a dropper. How to use alcohol ink is a most commonly asked question by many. This article will give you an idea on how will you be able to use this and how you can make one yourself.

    Alcohol inks is has an extremely vibrant pigment so a little ink could go for a long way. This product is completely cheap. So, for those of you who are in a budget you can still buy one. This comes with a dropper along the bottle.

    This product is highly pigmented so a small bottle could definitely go along way. The good thing with this is you can use different kinds of painting tools for this. Also, if you are hesitating about your artistic skills, you do not have to worry since this new product is very easy to use. There are no right way or wrong way when doing this. Play with different colors, and do not be afraid to mix them.

    First things first, make sure that the canvas that you are using is non-porous or in other words smooth. Because, if it gets contact on a porous canvas it will dry out faster and there is a possibility that the colors will fade. Some canvas that will work with it are wood, any type of glass, and a non-porous paper like a yupo paper.

    When it comes to what colors to use, there is no limit to that. Let your imagination work and get out of your comfort zone. Mix different color hues. Combine at least two colors, excluding white and black.

    The tools you will use creates different kinds of effects. Tools like an airbrush, paint brush, and a palette knife can be utilized. Even those items around your home can be used. If you do not have one then simply create one.

    If you do not have any painting tool, then create one. Simply, cut out a piece of sponge and your good to go. This will create another effect for your canvas. Or try to look for items around your house that you might be able to utilize in spreading the inks. To dry the product faster, a blow dry is the solution to this.

    To remove excess inks, damping a wet tissue will solve the problem. And, if you want to dry it out faster, a blow dry is the solution. Everyone is an artist, you cannot say that you are not. Just do anything you want to a blank canvas and the result will be a master piece. Then after making one, you can go ahead and hang them around your house or maybe create some cards for your loved ones. How cool is that. Remember to just enjoy every moment.
