The Determining Signs That Your Child Is Ready For Preschool Program Katy

Children aged between three and above need to be taught carefully in order to develop their mental skills, which will later help them when they join school. This is why pre-school programs are steadily growing as an important part of a child's education. Many schools have trained professionals with the ability to tap into children's mentality and bring out the best in them. If you ever wondered about the benefits of a preschool Program Katy, here are some essential reasons to help you decide.

A young child's mind is like a sponge. Their vocabulary grows rapidly and they mimic you and your actions. If you sit and read to them, they soon will want to read to you. If you share the world around them, soon they will show you what they've learned all on their own. A child's development and how quickly they learn depends on you.

A preschool curriculum should include many factors; visual, hearing, seeing, touching, and of course tasting. These factors all help a child to grow. They can see you do something and mimic the move or behavior then they learn it. If they hear a rhythm or a story then they can learn it. If they see you do something then they can also do it. If they touch something they will learn what that object feels like. If they taste something, they know whether or not they like it. Kids are quick to say they don't like a certain food because they don't like the way that it smells or looks but when they taste it, they find that it is totally different.

Some pertinent factors include Perception and Comprehension, Listening to age appropriate stories, Comments during stories, Likes books and pretends to read, Attempts to draw, Understands shapes, Talking and Responding, Discusses people, events and objects, Answers questions, Asks questions. In addition, a child is ready for a pre-school program when he/she Shows social interaction, Sits and listens, exhibits high attention Span and Balance, Can jump in place without falling, Can balance, Can dress oneself and Stays with an activity for 5 minutes.

Circle time: this is a time that you can sit on the floor with your child and discuss anything they want to talk about; their feelings, what they did the day before, or what they are concerned about. This is a time that they can ask questions without being judged.

Enhances their Communication Skills. Activities set out in preschool schedule help children to interact with each other and develop their social behavior. If taught properly, kids can learn how to behave with each other while also learning to develop self-confidence. By the time they reach school going age, they won't be afraid of facing other kids and neither will they be shy of their surroundings. Pre-schools are the perfect place to get your child to develop his social and communication skills.

ABC and 123's time: One letter and a number a week should be taught. Monday learn the letter and number, Tuesday say the letter and number and pronounce the letter, Wednesday learn to write the letter and number, Thursday, learn words and pictures that start with that letter and learn to count, and Friday wear something that starts with that letter and eat a snack that includes that number.

Parents considering pre-school as an option should visit the local institutions and determine what type of pre-school program they offer before making a decision.
