You can't always be positive every single day.
If you were positive all of the time, how could people really trust what you were saying? Wouldn't they trust you a little bit more if they heard about your struggles and defeats?
Life is wonderfully balanced. So to be truly positive you really have to experience serious negatives as well. That's simply the way in which the world works. As Carl Jung once said, "The brighter the light the darker the shadow." I think that really applies here as well.
While I've been on this journey of personal discover and soul searching, I've found out what it truly means to live a life for others and to help people start achieving their dreams.
For years I've been taking my personal experiences of suffering through the worst of situations and transforming those events into stories that could somehow resonate with others. Those stories are not always coming from a positive place, but they can always end in sort form of light.
I have really dark moments and days at times. In fact, the more I love with everything I have, the more I feel pain, hurt, loss, and everything else that can make your hands tremble when it comes around. I feel those things now more than I ever have before. The softening of a cold heart so many years ago has exposed it to be naked, exposed, and gives it the capability to feel everything intensely.
It's possible to find light within all of this darkness. It's possible to bring a positive outlook to your life despite many negative things going on. Are you going to always be able to stay positive? No. But you can give it your best effort and attempt to see the light in all situations.
If we can all take these negative situations of life and find a way to bring them out into the light we can truly create inspiring stories with them. We are all struggling, so to share your story with the world is to share a common story among all of us.
I struggle hard. And with that, I love hard.
