Teamone & The 4 Most Common Truck Types

If you are familiar with trucks, you probably already know that there are many types out there. TeamOne can say the same, as the vehicles in question are utilized for different purposes. Some of them are used to travel longer distances than others, while others transport specific goods. Whatever the case may be, you should know about the popular varieties. Here are just 4 that you are likely to see the next time you decide to take a leisurely drive.

Semitrailer - There are many ways that a semitrailer truck can be identified, but the most common feature is the hitch. What this is used for is to secure a trailer to the end of the vehicle in question, which is then used to transport a number of goods. Many of these are too large to be carried via standard mail; this is where the aforementioned trailer can come into effect. This holds a number of benefits, and those who are logistics recruiters can agree.

Dump - Workers in the field of construction can tell you that dump trucks are necessary. These are used in order to transport and, of course, dump all kinds of loose materials for building. These include, but aren't limited to, sand and dirt. The fact that these vehicles can transport tremendous amounts across various locations cannot be denied. In fact, without these, any kind of long-term construction endeavor is unlikely to be completed.

Tanker - There are specially made vehicles for transporting liquids, too. This is where tanker trucks can come into play, and they are built to last. Such vehicles can be used to transport anything from gasoline to waste, meaning that they have to be built well. For this reason, many of the vehicles in question tend to be constructed with insulation, which makes sense if the contents are perishable. Suffice it to say, tankers matter as well.

Refrigerator - Refrigerator trucks are, more or less, what you'd expect them to be. Essentially, they are built with cooling mechanisms in order to keep items fresh and from perishing, not unlike a traditional refrigerator. This is great for frozen treats, fish, fruit, and other items that might go bad without the proper climate. Many retailers depend on these vehicles, due to the stock they have to replenish on a regular basis, and it's easy to see why.
